Drugstore Makeup Look!

The Look for Less!!!

Hello Gorgeous!

Do you want a great look for LESS?  Here is my favorite drugstore look at little to no cost at all.  My look is used with all drugstore makeup with the exception of my primer and powder (Too Faced and Mally Beauty).  I am still looking for a great drugstore bronzer!

Products used:

Foundation: NYX HD Foundation in Sand Beige (Makeup Forever HD in #140)
Concealer: NYX HD Photogenic Concealer
Eye Shadow: Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips in Nude Eyes 7564
Eye Primer: Maybelline 24 hour Tattoo eye color in Tough as Taupe
Mascara: L'Oreal Voluminous Waterproof Mascara in Million Lashes
Lips: NYX lipgloss in Beige (My favorite and only $5)
Highlighter: Mally Duo Highlighter and blush
Blush:  Milani Bake Blush in Dolce Pink
Eyeliner: Milani eyeliner in Liquid Eyeliner (black)

I just love this packaging Physicians Formula came up with and it is a perfect Valentine's Day gift!
The shades are gorgeous and easy to apply.  If Urban Decay's Naked Palette is too expensive this little palette is perfect for you at $10.

My favorite blush!  I always use it in all my photos.

One of my favorite go to lipgloss!

NYX is a wonderful brand that is SUPER inexpensive! I tried this foundation and found it to be just like Makeup Forever's HD foundation.  The color that suits me in MUFE is #140 and in NYX Sand Beige is the exact color.  I thought it lasted all day long!  I really love this foundation and at $14 at ULTA that is a great price (ULTA has coupons for $3.50 off of a $10 purchase or more). This foundation really cost me $12.

These Maybelline Color Tattoo eye pots are AWESOME!!!! If you were afraid to buy them, don't be!  I love this color, Tough as Taupe.  I have the bronze too.  I use them as a primer for my eyeshadow.  They are being compared to MACs paint pots!

Just one swipe!

Smashbox's BB Cream! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!

Hello Gorgeous!

I have been using Smashbox's BB Cream for about 2 weeks now and I have to say that this is my new favorite foundation.  Let me give you the 411 on this wonderful product.

What exactly is BB cream and who uses it?

BB stands for Blemish Balm and is among Asia's hottest beauty products right now.  A dermatologist from Germany created it for his patients who had laser surgery and needed a rapid heal because of its soothing skin-regenerating properties.  Next thing you know a famous South Korean actress finds out about it and starts using it for beauty purposes.  BB Cream then soon spread to Japan and later to Europe and now the USA.

I have tried the Asian brands and found that those have more coverage and only come in two shades.  I was kind of turned off by the two shades, but quickly found out that this product oxidizes to your skin color.  I actually love it!  What I know about Asian skin products is that they really put all their money into research and technology and not presentation!  If you look at Asian women they all have beautiful skin.   Could this be genetic?  I don't know for sure, but what I do know is that my skin, although is rarely troublesome, looks even more awesome than it did before.

Here is what BB cream claims to do.

*  tinted and unlike the Asian versions it has sheer to medium coverage.
*  SPF 35 UVA/UVB
*  Hydrates
*  Primes
*  Perfects
*  Controls oils
*  Protects
* Gives glowing flawless skin
*  Re-texturizes
*  Wears for 8 hrs.
*  Fragrance free
*  Repairs damaged skin
*  Has NO parabens or sulfates

Basically in a nut shell this cream is all your skin care and sunscreen packed into one product.  If you use this you won't need anything else.  Many sales associates told me they use it as a primer under their foundation, but can be used alone.  The way I use it is I apply it over my Too Faced Poreless Primer (LOVE IT) and then finish off with Mally's Visible Skin Bronzer in Lighter  (I got in one of her kits). I love it!  I have seen a difference in my skin.  The blemishes I did have went away.  I even had a pimple on my left cheek and in with a couple of uses of this cream it went away.  The texture feels smoother and I have found to use my exfoliator less than twice a week.

Pictures of before and after!

Smashbox BB Cream

This is the one I got a sample of at The Face Shop (Asian store) called BB Cream Power Perfection. This one comes in 2 shades.  I used Natural Beige (in Mac foundations that is between shades NC 30 - NC 40)

How do I rate this product: 5 out of 5
Packaging: 4 out of 5  (would like to see more in the tube and in a pump form)
Quality: 5 out of 5
Would I buy again?  YES!!!
Where can I purchase this?  The Power Perfection (online or at an Asian store) Smashbox BB cream right now is only available at QVC and Sephora.  It hits regular department stores April 2012.

Sultry Smokey Green Eyes! Central Park After Dark!

Hello Gorgeous!

As requested by a beauty subscriber I did this green shadow look using Mally Beauty's Citychick Smokey Eye shadow in Central Park.  These are the most awesome shades of green I have ever seen and well worth the price ($38 on QVC or Mally.com)

Mally Roncal is a makeup artist to celebrities and she definitely knows color!

Here are the colors I used

Lid:  The lightest shade of green from the Citychick Smokey Eye Palette (Central Park)
Crease: Darkest shade of Central Park and a bronze color from Brownstone Collection (Mally)
Browlighter: The lightest shade from Central Park.
Under Eye: Bronze and the Light Green mixed together.  I first put the bronze on and below it is the green mixed in.
Cheeks: Mally Effortless Airbrush Blush & Highlighter Duo in Peach.  (I LOVE THIS!!!! CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT THIS)
Lips:  Oak liner from Mac and Tom Ford's Naked Lipgloss

The Look for Less Using Drugstore Makeup!

Hello Gorgeous!

Here is my "look for less" using L'Oreal, Rimmel, Maybelline, and Milani.  I recently bought the latest colors from L'Oreal cosmetics called L'Oreal Infalliable 24 Hr Eye Shadow.  These eye shadows remind me so much of Armani's Gorgeous Eyes Collection. They have the same type of presentation.  You twist the top off and a little protection plate is set on top of the eye shadow.  Let me just say that these shades are extremely pigmented.  I only swatched it once on my arm and that is the true color.  Unbelievable!

Here is a list of what I used for my look!

* Lid- L'Oreal Infalliable shadow in Bronzed Taupe $6.97
* Crease-  Rimmel Eye shadow in Dusk $2.37
* Highlight-  L'Oreal Infalliable shadow in Iced Latte $6.97
* Cheeks-  Milani Baked Blush in Dolce Pink $7.56
* Lips- Maybelline Baby Lips in Pink Punch $2.47
* Lashes- L'Oreal's Voluminous Lash in Black (waterproof) $6.00

Other items I used that are not drugstore are NARS foundation, Mally Beauty Highlighter for cheeks, MAC smolder eyeliner for eye, and Brow Fix by Mally.
